Flex Contracts - outside China
Hi all
Just some info, probably of little interest to most but...
India has always been noted as a possibility for anyone caught out with currency, at times looking at Captains with more than 2 years out of the seat.
Now a company (SpiceJet, B73NG) are offering Chinese style flex skeds on new contracts of:
5 on/3 off or 6 on/2 off (bi-monthly)
8 on/4 off or 9 on/3 off (quarterly)
12 on/3 off (annual)
Different is that all for the same monthly fee (US$ 9.5K net plus accomm/meals or 1.5K allowance), time off travel arrangements also vary depending on pattern selected, bi-monthly could end up costing some out of pocket depending where "home" is.
Mentioning as first time I've seen some flex options on contracts other than Chinese so might be of interest to some.
Appears only Proctor Aviation (headhunters) or direct contact for anyone interested.
Cheers.

Air Macau has been offering 9/3 for about a year and a half.
Mainland China has MULTIPLE and reputable 50:50 options since the last summer, so the demand equation is still in force.
