Fly egyptair

Hi there

Anyone know the deal at Fly EgyptAir?
I see they're looking for crew on B738, 6 weeks on 2 weeks off, 10500USD per month?
How stable is this low cost carrier? Stability in the country, safety issues?

Thanks

FlyEgypt not Egyptair

I think you are confused
Flyegypt is a private charter and scheduled operator based in Egypt and is a completely different airline other than Egyptair which is the state owned flag carrier of Egypt

Destination are mainly European destinations from Hurghada and Sharm Al Sheikh as charters

Scheduled flights are from HEBA / HESG / HELX / HEAT to Amman, Kuwait and some saudi arabia destinations

The airline is owned by some family members of the Talaat Mostafa Group (TMG) which is one of the biggest construction and developers for real estate not only in Egypt but in Africa (google)

They operate 5x B738s and have a lease contract for an A320 on ACMI basis from another Egyptian airline (ALMASRIA UNIVERSAL AIRLINES)

Very stable company, salaries paid ontime, expansion plans are on the table
The 1st 1.5 years where very hard for them but they survived

Safety, maintenance is well taken care of as well as quality and security. No exceedance in FDPs or such.

For those who may think i am writing positively because I am working there, no I was working there years ago and already left for a better opportunity.

Good luck

Can second everything SU-GCM said. One of the "proper" private airlines of Egypt from what I've been told.

Up till very recently, they were looking for FOs. Not sure if they're still looking now but according to their website, there are no FO vacancies at the moment.... Although I have to highlight that the careers page on websites don't count for much in Egypt and are almost never THE channel of application... Won't hurt if you call or go and ask in person.

100 above minimums,
thanks for reply, it won't hurt for sure, but as I'm living abroad and working abroad is neither so easy to get there in person nor to phone as there isn't any telephone number.
Regards the website, they never advertise for FO, so not easy too to gather informations about their recruitment time.

There you go:
Contact Us | Fly Egypt

Not sure how useful it will be though. Give it a shot though.

Best of luck.

Hi Carlos
Its a scheduled and charter operator based in Egypt
Currently they have a fleet of 2x A320s 1xA321 1x B735 1xA332

The A321 is leased to Gulf Air in Bahrain for 1 year ACMI Contract.
The B735 is operating gulf flights to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
2x B737CL have recently been acquired by them, hence the hiring I guess.

While the rest of fleet is operating Charters to Europe and some UN flights from time to time.

They have been in business since 2009 and their safety record is not bad, but in that part of the world a lot of stuff is kept under the rug.

9100$ in Egypt is good money, but depends where you are coming from and your expectations for take home.

Good luck
