Reserve Forces policy

Fellow pilots,

Might I enquire as to what, if any, Reserve Forces policy you airline has in place? Is a Reservist offered any additional leave, be it paid or unpaid on top of the normal leave allowances? Are there any other allowances made?

Current outfit has no formal policy in place, so am interested to know what other UK airlines have.

We can take up to two weeks "extra" military leave in a year. Any leave granted for military purposes must be matched by an equal number of days from your usual leave entitlement. For example, 10 days leave for military training would be 5 days of "extra" leave plus 5 days from your normal annual entitlement. Military leave can also be matched with unpaid leave too (5 days paid military leave + 5 days unpaid leave)

Austria requires companies to release employees for military reserve duty but the leave is unpaid.

Thanks for the replies so far. Ideally looking for examples from UK airlines.
