This will undoubtedly appeal to some, but breaks new ground (unless I am mistaken ) as being the 1st LoCo to propose a seasonal contract (peeps have previously ended up with a month or two off in the Winter in the past with Ryanair, and we won't even speak about Norwegian the last few years, but, I believe this is the first " up front" Ad for a "permanent job" with less than 12mths work/year )

Don't know about being the first.
Jet2 will let you have as much time off as you want in the winter (on half pay, approximately) and you get to keep your permanent position, pension, pro rata holidays etc.
But yes, I'm sure many would be interested, especially non type rated pilots who fancy an Airbus rating.

Where they squeeze a year of flying into an 8 month random roster in Palma? LOL.

I wonder. Years ago, in the early days of shared rosters, i.e. 2 x 50%, you worked 10/28 days. Trouble was there were no SBY's and no hour limits. Thus you could do 600hrs pa for 50% pay of a 900hr pilot. After BALPA arrived I understand this was restricted to 450hrs pa. If that is still the case then I would expect a pro-rata % of hours for 8 months if the contract paid 67% of a full time annual. However, if the pay rate/m was above the full timers'/m then a higher productivity rate is not so bad. There does need to be an understanding/calculation that the contract is not a cheepie alternative to employing people properly.

in summer. We do have a lot of business in that market and it rips apart the whole network every summer.
