SXF base for Easyjet
Hi folks,
Anyone has any idea what are the rosters like for EZ Berlin base ? Random or fixed? Also what kind of taxation can I expect on a captain's salary? Any pension plan or do we get government pension? Not much information out there. Thanks for any highlights
Cheers

So it's gone from "won't happen" to "won't happen this year" in the space of a couple of posts. Just spoke to someone who expects to start in a few weeks. Bet you're surprised EcamSurprise.

It is true that so far the cpt postitions will be filled by SFO's at least until mid next year. Perhaps the company is planning to increase capacity in SXF but no info from the company yet. I think for DEC there will be no a availability. For FO's there might be if the OAA channels cant supply enough people. Experience wise a mix would be a smart thing to do.
Rosters are flexi and fixed pattern. It depends on your position and how long you are in the company. Captains fly 5/4/5/3 FO's start flexi but after one year SFO option to go 5/4/5/3 as well. Part time 7/7 is available but you will be at the bottom of the list so it might take a long time. Tax class depends on if you are married or not. Highest tax class would give a cpt around 8000+ net a month. Of course it depends on your loyalty position as well which eventually will be 15% but DEC's start at 0 obviously. After tax declaration you should get some back on top of that. Pension is company 4 or 5% I believe. Think together with italy and france its the best place to be. Life is relatively cheap, good contract, good protection and Berlin is a great place.

I was one of the last Captains on the transfer list and recently received a transfer e-mail.
Loads of People on the transfer list - but I guess the FO's are not ready for command yet and all the captains declined.
Why would the Company put an advert out for DEC in SXF if the position is not
available??
Good luck to all who apply. The SXF contract is quite good.

@fokkerdriver,
Because since you had your offer, the company has allocated everyone onto command courses for all bases around the network.
There are still "ready" FOs on the reserve list for Berlin as there are not enough places.

This married with kids thing, is new to me. While I've applied (and have yet to hear back) for NTR DEC at LGW, I'm keen to know what benefits to the pay being married is? My girlfriend and I are expecting our first child, and if I tell her that I'd get paid more and/or a tax break if we were married, then perhaps I won't tell her...
Thanks for pointing that out however, I am aware tax is different in each country.
Just to clarify then, with the German tax system, two FO's work the same hours one month, and the one who is married and has kids earns 500 euro net extra then the single one?
