SXF base for Easyjet

Hi folks,

Anyone has any idea what are the rosters like for EZ Berlin base ? Random or fixed? Also what kind of taxation can I expect on a captain's salary? Any pension plan or do we get government pension? Not much information out there. Thanks for any highlights

Cheers

The SXF base won't happen for DEC. Maybe DFO though.

As far as I can see, the captain positions are nearly all filled by SXF FO's (~ 10). Some come from other bases!!?

Captain: BERLIN Airbus 320/30/40 Rated-Latest Pilot Jobs-Latest Pilot Jobs

Berlin based DEC.

Yes, it is advertised, but it won't happen this year. There are already people on a reserve list for SXF.

vfenext 5th May 2016 05:06

So it's gone from "won't happen" to "won't happen this year" in the space of a couple of posts. Just spoke to someone who expects to start in a few weeks. Bet you're surprised EcamSurprise.

DEC in Berlin? Maybe he's in for a surprise and end up somewhere else!?

NineInchSnail 5th May 2016 16:05

So to come back to the original question. How are the rosters? Any pension plan and what about the taxation? Thanks afor any good info

AirArt 6th May 2016 16:50

Interested in terms for DFO in SXF as well.

EcamSurprise 6th May 2016 22:11

I say this year because I know how long the list is.

But sure, ignore the guys who actually know what's going on.

whitelabel 7th May 2016 10:34

It is true that so far the cpt postitions will be filled by SFO's at least until mid next year. Perhaps the company is planning to increase capacity in SXF but no info from the company yet. I think for DEC there will be no a availability. For FO's there might be if the OAA channels cant supply enough people. Experience wise a mix would be a smart thing to do.

Rosters are flexi and fixed pattern. It depends on your position and how long you are in the company. Captains fly 5/4/5/3 FO's start flexi but after one year SFO option to go 5/4/5/3 as well. Part time 7/7 is available but you will be at the bottom of the list so it might take a long time. Tax class depends on if you are married or not. Highest tax class would give a cpt around 8000+ net a month. Of course it depends on your loyalty position as well which eventually will be 15% but DEC's start at 0 obviously. After tax declaration you should get some back on top of that. Pension is company 4 or 5% I believe. Think together with italy and france its the best place to be. Life is relatively cheap, good contract, good protection and Berlin is a great place.

I was one of the last Captains on the transfer list and recently received a transfer e-mail.
Loads of People on the transfer list - but I guess the FO's are not ready for command yet and all the captains declined.
Why would the Company put an advert out for DEC in SXF if the position is not
available??
Good luck to all who apply. The SXF contract is quite good.

Dear Gents,

Could someone share salary info. How much you get average per month after tax as a FO?
Thanks!

EcamSurprise 9th May 2016 04:47

@fokkerdriver,

Because since you had your offer, the company has allocated everyone onto command courses for all bases around the network.

There are still "ready" FOs on the reserve list for Berlin as there are not enough places.

box 9th May 2016 09:29

SFO Salary ~ € 5000 net, approx 500 more if you are married + kids. Not sure about Junior FO and FO salary.

kishupes 9th May 2016 10:04

Thanks for the info box. From how many hours on type transfer from FO to SFO?

VJW 9th May 2016 16:42

This married with kids thing, is new to me. While I've applied (and have yet to hear back) for NTR DEC at LGW, I'm keen to know what benefits to the pay being married is? My girlfriend and I are expecting our first child, and if I tell her that I'd get paid more and/or a tax break if we were married, then perhaps I won't tell her...

stiglet 9th May 2016 17:02

The subject was Berlin and the example given was NET ie after tax. Tax is different in each country.

VJW 9th May 2016 18:07

Thanks for pointing that out however, I am aware tax is different in each country.

Just to clarify then, with the German tax system, two FO's work the same hours one month, and the one who is married and has kids earns 500 euro net extra then the single one?

safelife 9th May 2016 18:25

The tax rate is less when married. In germany you can share your tax free allowance between the couple, hence it doubles for you (or her).
