I think it is around 19000 turkish liras base per month and then 125 lira per sector. I'm not working there myself.
Expect 6/1 pattern, late arr. before OFF and early checkin after the OFF. I heard rumours of a commuting contract at PGS but expect absolute minimum rest times when actually working.

Roster pattern will be according to Turkish Law, 2 days off 1st week ( day off can include minimum rest with early start after 2nd day) 1 day second week, 1 or 2 days third week, then block of 6/7 off. As stated, expect late finish before day off and early after week off. Salary will be about 8000 euro net inc sector pay in high season. Don't work there myself but some guys I know do. Law requires 7 days a month off minimum.

Pegasus Airlines Captain Recruitment Query
Expect to fly to the maximum and frequent duty changes. Although they keep within legal limits their current roster policy can be considered as inhumane with crew fatigue being a big issue. Mainly because of this policy the airline has lost a substantially large number of pilots during the past year.

Actually it is more to do with opportunity and expansion than flying conditions. In 2010/11 Pegasus got rid of nearly all foreign Captains to allow for locals to be upgraded. In 2012 The Turkish Government implied they would restrict foreign FOs to 10% of the work force employed at any carrier, this was later amended to " foreign licence holders" thus if you convert, the numbers shrink. Pegasus had an aggressive expansion program and ramped up Izmir and Istanbul base, coupled with a positive upgrade program for the local FOs. Those same young upgraded FOs now have the opportunity after 3000PIC to go to Turkish as DEC, thus there is now a shortage. Pegasus know that Sun Express successfully recruited foreigners with the lure of commute contract from Ankara base, as do Bora Jet on the 190, their strategy is to try and coax SXS guys from Ankara to SAW as SXS does not allow commute from SAW, getting to Europe from Ankara is a pain, also to attract new guys directly to SAW and move guys from SAW to Izmir. Rosters are issued weekly so planning is bound to change. Money is apparently good as sectors are paid rather than flight time, but as anywhere in Turkey work is hard. Turkish DGCA want to adopt EASA FTLs next year and this means at least 10% more crew per carrier. Horses for courses I guess, but the DGCA is now making another rule preventing DEC from Turbo prop to Jet, again the pilot crop will be limited as Turkey was a good opportunity for prop captains floundering in Europe.
Pegasus staff travel is confirmed on Pegasus routes, whereas THY has all Star Alliance routes and ZED agreements practically everywhere, just a thought.

Pegasus Airlines Captain Recruitment Query
Yes they got rid of most foreign pilots initially. They also lost more than one hundred of their own Turkish pilots within the past year. So now they are desperate again to hire. Clearly they must have made some mistakes somewhere.... People just don't leave an otherwise stable and successful airline.

The conditions mentioned are pretty spot on in regards to flying frequency. Late finish before day off? Most likely. However, if your rest extends into your day off you are allowed that much time before your flight on your next day back. A lot of flying, within legal limits but not much more. Early start after week off? Most likely. Hell even early start after day off or double off within the limits mentioned above. It is rare to see a Captain's schedule empty (i.e. no flight, no off) for a certain day.
Inhumane? Well considering they have a schedule to keep and they adhere to legal limitations in regards to rest and frequency (6 on max) I would choose to call it intense rather than inhumane. With the latest surge in hiring as well as upgrades for Turkish pilots one hopes that it will only get less intense.
Why pilots leave? Foreign pilots more often than not are there for the time building and consider it a hopping stone to their target/dream job. Turkish pilots are mostly lured by the better pay and less intense workload (not to mention perceived prestige of working) at Turkish Airlines.
That being said, Pegasus are apparently hiring (locally and internationally) constantly as the airline expands and the expected 100 Airbus fleet starts arriving.

Well no one expects a low cost airline to offer the same working conditions as a flag carrier. The problem at Pegasus is that unfortunately the current management has failed to establish a reasonably healthy relationship with its flight crews. Yes some may be lured away by better pospects elsewhere but most are leaving because they are unhappy. They really need to get their act together and try to fix this issue.

......in addition, regarding "intense" and "inhumane". If you go by figures only you will inevitably tend to by pass the issue of human factors. Legal limits are as the word implies limits. If you constantly force them eventually there comes a point when "intense" becomes "inhumane". It is most important to have a reasonable balance between business mindedness and aviation mindedness in an airline. As we all know it takes 10 years to build up the reputation of an airline and it takes 10 seconds to destroy it all.
To make a long story short. The current Pegasus roster policy is not only not in conformity with normal civilized aviation ethics but it is also irresponsible.

SAW " grapevine" is that DEC for PGS is complete at the moment as they have taken on approximately 50 FOs from local carriers that are ready for upgrade. PGS suffered badly form their decision in 2011 to ditch the Yabanci Captains and upgrade the local guys, the same guys that have now jumped ship to THY after a period in Command. Izmir and AYT bases are full and SAW base is crewed until next year as some SXS Captains are also joining PGS in the next few months.
Recruitment open again.. check the main PGS website, gives a phone number also and some more details.
Apparently they used agencies in the past and some of the crop was " perished goods", it is, I am advised a slowish process..The whole FAA and EASA licence confusion here in Turkey is causing headaches. ICAO, JAA EASA only now accepted by DGCA

FAA licenses are also accepted by the authority, just with additional exams and requirements meaning more time on the ground.
I believe the airline is still working with agencies (saw Sigma's ad on the Flightglobal site) but also by WOM through previously hired foreign pilots flying on the line.
Regarding "perished goods", I heard that each batch of foreign pilots has one or two that don't make it and the company is trying to make sure these are weeded out before they sit in the ground courses and start their line training so as to reduce expenses for these dropouts.
I believe they still have multiple recruitment days a month for both A320 and B738.

Sorry guys the topic goes to Captains but I'd like to ask about SFO.
In their hiring ad on their website they said SFO will upgrade to captains within a year. Is anyone optimist about this?
