No reason why VNV couldn't represent easyJet pilots. SNPL represents both them and AF pilots in France as well. In fact, it could be a smart move as it would limit VNV in its actions to keep budget carriers out of The Netherlands as they must protect the employment of easyJet pilots if they choose to organise themselves through VNV.

Ask Martinair guys how well it works out when there is a direct conflict between your company and KLM and you are both in the same union The KLM members will always choose their own best interest (as most of us would do) and always outnumber you.
All just my humble option ofcourse

Don't see RYR there soon - they have no AMS slots.
They had slots for this summer but returned them to AMS due lack of aircraft, opting to base them in Italy instead pre-empting the demise of Alitalia.

In this case the VNV would have every motive to fight for T&C's that are good, as improved/comparable T&C's for easyJet crew will directly lead to a smaller competitive edge that easyJet would have over KLM/transavia. Which would be in the interest of KLM/transavia crews future T&C's.
I think all KLM pilots will realise that KLM has zero ability to drive easyJet out of the market, they already tried that and failed. Its not a company that will go bankrupt anytime soon. And the damage it can do to the business of KLM could be substantial on their shorthaul business market.
There is a reason that easyJet pilots are united in BALPA, SNPL, ANPAC, SEPLA (before mad closure) and APPLA.

Porto is a new base. Lisbon has one of the worse contracts in the easy stable so expect the same.
I have heard rumour of a base in AMS. The contract should be interesting as there are hundreds of true orange men and woman ( Dutch not easy troopers ) who would love to get home. Lets see how management have gauged their willingness to get home with the contract they offer.

The LIS contract is actually very competitive, it changed drastically from what it was initially. Basic pay for a skipper is very close to 100k EUR and then you get per diems and bonuses on top. I don't know why people say it's a bad contract.

contract for people desperate to stop commuting?
