1 ) Interview... an interview. Hopefully someone will speak English..when I dd that was not the case
2) The atmosphere is that Turks are Turks and you are a ' yabanci". Mainly a a vested interested courtesy. Professional level.. well depends where you come from..for me the poorest ever seen ( on 737)
3) Sure..go ahead enjoy. Not many speak English in Istanbul. Private school are extremely expensive and you don't want to involve your kids with Turkish public education.
4) Expect 3500 TL and up for decent 2 bedroom in decent area or go the suburbs and save a bit.
5) You must be kidding.. they will pay your salary, more or less. Period.
Other things to consider:
a) If you get sick you get pay cuts.If you manage to get it since even if you are unable to walk, or your pants, you will have to see a doctor.or you will be absent.
b) You will have 15 days of leave..from the second year. Chances are that you will not be here by then so don't worry too much.
c) If you don't have an EASA license you will be sacked sooner or later.
Morale... stay where you are if you can or look elsewhere. Plenty of jobs for qualified pilots.and think of this only if desperate enough,
