Can UK flight crew be called off ASY and then put ASY if duty is cancelled?
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is legal to be called off ASY and allocated sectors, and if those sectors are then cancelled, is it legal to be put back on ASY?
If so does anyone know where the reference to this is as I have tried CAP371 and company manuals but there are no references to it.
Cheers.

Yep, totally legal! It's not a scenario that requires any special case in Part A/CAP371 - FDP starts at the beginning of ASBY, if you never dispatched, that FDP remains! Simple!
If flights are been cancelled, with a Crewing hat on, I'd maybe want the flexibility of hanging onto the crew!

Sounds ok to me, was the new standby time (i'm presuming airport) the same as original end time or later. Unfortunately on standby you have to be prepared for most things you're a highly paid asset.....
