Travel service interview and conditions.
Hi all,
I have just been offered an interview with them, on PPJN the money is quoted as about €1200 for a first officer with my hours on type, is this true?? Also has anyone recently been through screening? I have been given a detailed description of the selection process in the e-mail and it sounds like an Air Force selection, compass test , 60 minute tech interview , 120 minute chat with a psychologist , 120 min group exercise , psychometric test , aviation knowledge test , and then sim....

Had a chance to fly with some of their guys. Met very good guys and not so good ones. For sure the spread is larger then with the legacy carriers. The backgrounds are very different, military guys, cadets and guys that flew little GA aircraft till their 40s and then moved to the 737. What they all told me is that management is not treating them very kind, politely expressed. Those who have a chance will jump ship at the next possibility.

Currently work here, the rumor goes that for the first 18 months as cadet the wage is like that. You get per diems, can expect thay can be about half the wage extra. One of the things what the company counts on is the worldwide flying you get, very interesting destinations, lot of ACMI and you know not many operate with 738 from EU to Dominicana i.e. There are some highs, some lows as always. 107 destinations, 44 countries, 3years of service. Quick progress to LHS is another.

660 euro for first 18 months?
Hi RedBullGaveMeWings,
660EUR/month for the first 18 months is reasonable.
As an example...My mother works 40 hours a day and she is employed by the government for the same money. She is not a freshly recruited employee, with 30 years behind her back, and on the top of this she is happy with what she gets.
A real aviator does not looking the paycheck but lives for his passion! If they offer you a job take it and be happy that you can do what you love.

Unbelievable!!!
No matter how much you love flying it does and will become a job! I go to work to provide for my wife and kids. That's it period.
I doubt anyone will have put on their grave stone "I wish I had spent more time working"
On €660 a month exactly where are you supposed to live?
