That isn't strictly true - you are being literal. There's money to be made by foregoing slots - your beloved Monarch is a case in point

It really doesn't matter either way, they have production slots for firm orders and deposits will have been paid my understanding is these are not refundable, they have recently set up an asset management company and have stated internally that if they can't use them they will lease them, there will be plenty of takers i'm sure.

For now Norwegian are setting the agenda in terms of product quality in the low cost sector, Monarch are fitting WiFi on C checks i understand and others will follow, but NAS have a huge lead with 60+ aircraft already so fitted.

Any news on NAS requirements for FO in the coming months. Only seems to be interviewing Captains at the moment when I have spoken to them.

I know a few guys starting in January time, but they were interviewed a while ago. Has the door closed for FO recruitment for a while?

As far as I know, the recruitment for both Captains and First Officers is ongoing. I was told last week, that there is a conversion course starting every Monday with twelve Pilots on it, for the foreseeable

Send an email to Bjorn Hansen, he's the guy you need to talk to for an interview.

Good luck!

Not entirely true.. Last conversion course began 2 weeks ago, and no more untill other side of new year - the remaining 2½ months is internal command upgrades. However, if you meant interviewining people only, that is another story as these will be ongoing in november and december for courses in 2014.

SAB.

Well, you may be right... But I'm sure that's what the TRE in OSL said last week, when I was in the sim. Anyway, people still need to email Mr Hansen.

Good luck!

Regarding DEC positions.

I have 3000 hours on the 737 but my Type Rating is defunct. Currently Capt A320. TT 8000 hours (2000 PIC)

Anyone on the know: am I out of the frame altogether for NAS?

Thanks

Found this online earlier today:

Norwegian Air Shuttle: “The demand for travelling with Norwegian and advance bookings have been satisfactory entering the fourth quarter of 2013. Norwegian will continue to take advantage of its increasing competitive power realized through continuous cost efficiency, and from introducing larger aircraft (14 new 737-800Ws will be delivered in 2013) with a lower operating cost. Going forward, the Company expects continued competitive pressure in the European market place.” Source: Company statement, 24-Oct-2013.

Can't be correct that 14 aircraft will be delivered this year can it?

Cont,

Guys I ran into in the last month or so in OSL on OCC were about 50/50 Capt/FO. Don't know if the future courses will be the same , but recent ones have been.

Good Luck

POT NOODLE HORN

Post 112 on page 6 will give the salary figures. Roster is currently variable with minimum 12 days off per month, giving 5/4, 5/3, 6/3 for example. If you contact one of the agencies; ARPI, Confair or crap... Sorry, I mean Parc, they'll be happy to send you a generic contract showing terms & conditions.

Contracts are the same for all contractors bases, only the social insurance rates differ.

So the application says only candidates with 737 rating will be considered. Later, it says candidates with extensive experience on similar types will be considered.

For interest only, has anyone achieved a position with NAS without 500h on 737? Who funded the rating etc.

AB Initio Opportunities

Greetings,

I'm an AB Initio cadet just wrapping up my training with CAE Global Academy. I haven't seen anything here on this thread yet about the topic but I'd like to ask anyone with the knowledge if NAS does intact hire ABI...

I thought not until I read an application form recently that listed the requirements for applying pilots with their MCL and from what it looked, with little experience. ( as the other positions of experienced FO and experienced Capt. listed the required hours)

Thank you kindly for you response!
