What's happening to Brussels Airlines?
Belgian and French magazines are reporting that discussions are on-going at Brussels Air to fire about 700 employees due to bad financial results over the last two years... I guess pilots and routes will be affected too...

Here's what Davignon said, in English:
Brussels Airlines yesterday denied persistent rumours of a restructuring plan involving mass redundancies. Speaking to RTBF, chairman Viscount Etienne Davignon branded the rumours “highly irresponsible because they are unfounded”. He did, however, accept that spending cuts were necessary. “If you ask me whether there will be a restructuring scheme involving direct redundancies, my answer is no,” he said. “But if we’re talking about an adjustment aimed at guaranteeing future development in sustainable conditions, then my answer is yes.” Business magazine Trends-Tendances has mentioned a restructuring plan threatening 700 jobs, roughly one in five. Finance daily L’Echo, meanwhile, quotes a figure of about 250 jobs. A Brussels Airlines spokesperson said 150 fixed-term cabin crew contracts would not be renewed, explaining that the contracts in question were only for the March-October period.
