They definitely don't want to accommodate requests like this, for several reasons.
Firstly they see that kind of thing as giving in to pilots. Under no circumstances must this happen.
Secondly, it would interfere with the deliberate policy of having as many nationalities in each base in order to dilute any show of strength or attempt at unity/unionisation.
