Ryanair DECs on £3000 per month

Following job recently posted on agency web site recruiting non type rated Captains for Ryanair.

Apply for the B737-800 Type Rated / Non Type Rated Captains job posted by Storm McGinley Support Services | AviationJobSearch.com

Rates of pay for non type rated Captains , 135 euros per hour less 10 euros per hour "recurrent training fee".

"A minimum of 30 scheduled block hours" each month.

So taking a lean month (plenty of those in the winter), that's 30 x 125 = 3750 euros or around £3000 per month and that's before any payment of taxes, social dues etc !

Advert also states requirements for non type rated DEC as :-

3,500 hours total time.
2,000 hours on a B747 / B757 / B767.
1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on a B747 / B757 / B767 for an established airline.

Good innit ?

I really don't understand the requirements. They want longhaul captains? Why would they apply to such ?

Or longhaul FO's? And how does that make sense without any shorthaul experiene?

Sounded like such a good deal to me I thought I'd apply but the Ad says this job's expired.

I can only assume they must have been inundated with applicants.................

New agency?

You only get paid block hours. (ie you work a good 30% for free).
5/3 roster is in reality 7/1 as you spend your first and last days off travelling to and from whichever godforsaken place they send you.
No support from company or management whatsoever.
Crewing are utterly vile on the phone, impatient and abrupt.
The constant bullying, paranoid antics of the management eventually drag even the highest spirit down.
Unable to take pride in ones profession after they've well and truely wrung it out of you.
Get the hell out of there. You won't regret it.
How about all the pilots forget about the useless all talk and no action unions and consider a different approach.......... set up a new agency? Has it ever been considered/tried? Is it too far fetched? Discuss...............or slate if you so wish.

I see the French are investigating a CEO over the 'atmosphere' he created and the effects it had on employee's / service providers. Good thing Molly is based in Ireland and anything goes in the banana republic ..anyway normal rules don't apply to transport workers
