Do Jet Airways in India have financial problems? Jet Airways have now terminated a large number of expat flight crew contracts. Despite a successful screening process for Jet Airways in January, no job offer was made and those pilots, are after more than 4 month, still waiting to be paid for travel expenses.

Its not only Jet airways that is in financial trouble, mostly all the airlines running in the Aviation sector are bleeding heavily..
Our government has to take some drastic steps to improve the health of our airlines..
Until the Dollar Scenario doesnt improve , we cannot expect anything.. Expats are getting sacked as their pay packages are in dollars and it is becoming very expensive for airlines to keep them..
They are planning to use the indian pilots instead and save money

My thoughts exactly, their expansion should be heavily scaled back until such a time they can take expats on again.
This is what the DGCA should be doing as part of their oversight.
An airline and an industry as w whole must only be allowed to grow in a controlled way if safety is to be maintained.
