My email said they were in the process of shortlisting. If Zizi got a no thanks, it probably just means they've read his but haven't got to mine yet. No timescale was given.
I barely scraped over the 3000 hours requirement (most of it RHS on 737) so I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks for the reply, I've just received the same email, telling me to wait a little longer. Its probably a stay of execution, as I had just over the minimum 3000 hrs and no widebody time. I have half my time 737 and half 320.
Good luck everyone still waiting

Well, it's for the hold pool, so I'd guess they just fish a few pilots out of it as and when spaces appear on any fleet.
A330 fleet is gradually expanding, so that would seem the most likely.
A340 fleet is gradually being phased out, so that would seem unlikely.
747 fleet would depend on retirements, CUs and general attrition I guess.
I'm not in the know, just my $0.02

Virgin Domestic = New type?
On Monday Virgin announced that they will be looking to fly to Moscow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Cairo and Amman with the 14 slots BA have to surrender as a result of the BMI takeover. Interestingly Aberdeen (I think) can only hold aircraft up to a 767 in size, which may mean that they are looking into new aircraft or leases for domestic operations. They have leased A320s and A321s in the past from GECAS and Orix. Aer Lingus however are also looking to bid for the Aberdeen and Edinburugh routes, so you never know what is going to happen.

Still have not heard a thing. I received an email ages ago saying they had lots of interest etc. Just a bit worried I've been forgotten. Anyone else hear anything??

Mintsauce, you are unlikely to be "forgotten". Interviews were held this week and a fortnight ago to my knowledge (and there are other dates that have been or will be) and I'm sure as they accept or reject people from this process they will eventually reach your good self. I suspect that there is no easy way to shortcut the process, don't give up hope until they email you with a firm no.

Thank you!! I suppose when it's a job that means so much to you and your career, you find it increasingly difficult to remain positive. No news is good news I suppose. Just keeping everything crossed!!
