If you're working over a w/e it will usually be idle in Lej. There are a couple of long ones (fri am to mon pm) eg OTP, TLV, but not many. Poss short w/e in MAD, BGY eg. Not much happens over the w/e.

Biggest message I can pass to you to is to have a really good answer to the question, 'so how are you going to make Leipzig work for you?'.

Thnaks EAM and Deltahotel...
just hope to be able to pass first day test and I'm confident about the personal interview and my knowledge for the next and final stage.
Also, happy to overfly the channel island and to re-see CMN , better than fly for Iraki airlines and be based in BGW or be based in PEW and so on for some crazy wet lease operation as am doing right now!

so how are you going to make Leipzig work for you?
I'm sure i 'm going to do a research about LEJ but for sure some how, it will be better than other place here in Europe as for example KTW or better than far places like LOS ABJ ......

As first impact, looking at google picture look likes not so bad...LEJ better than KTW..believe me!

They don't, you only have to pay german taxes if you live in Germany, but you have to pay social security as you are based in Germany. And just to mention that, a lot of people complain that you have to pay more on social security in Germany, which is true, but you also get a lot more out of it, this is what most people forget.

@Reveal, Leipzig is a very nice place, a young city, lots of students. If you don't have a "home" to move back to, Leipzig is a very good choice.

Yes, that sounds about right, if you live in the UK, but I don't think you need to pay NI in the UK, as you already pay in Germany. If you live somewhere else you will pay tax in your country of course.

Correct. As long as the UK are still in the EU a British crew member only pays social security (national insurance) in the country of his/her home base, Leipzig in this case, regardless of residence.

Do you have an interview coming up, and is DHL hiring at the moment?

Cheers for any feedback!
