MON Recruitment

Hi all,

I have been browsing through the Monarch website today, by chance, and noticed that the flight deck page which has said "frozen" for ages actually has links to applications forms now...

Is this new or have I just missed it?

Any indications on how many people they might be looking for and what sort of contract?

Oh yes, I see that now, but it also talks about the 787s still...

If you have a 320 rating and UK airline experience then Monarch have a course scheduled late April.

Interesting, thanks!

Does anyone have any info on the roster these days?
Is it a bit more stable than before? Commutable?

They were recruiting rated A320 folk to start end of April to be on line ASAP with the implementation of 2 more A320's at LGW operating the new scheduled routes. I believe the roster is "random" but you will do 4 or 5 days on then a few off, particularly in the Summer. The contracts they're recruiting onto are the permanent but 75% hours with 84% pay.

MON have been taking several ex TCX F/Os on career breaks. The poor chaps had seen their careers grind to a halt and needed to get out to an operator that appears to offer a future not involving the constant erosion of T&Cs. Grass greener? They'll no doubt let us know in due course.

For those casting around for a summer job I'd certainly put Monarch above TCX on your list. Most other airlines too. Except Ryanair. Obviously.
