Does anyone have any information about the following questions regarding the terms and conditions of West Atlantic? There is a small amount of information available on this forum, but since there have been many recent changes in the company, most of it is outdated.
I'm sure there are people on PPRUNE who can provide more information. Fresh information could be useful for people seeking employment with this/these company(s).
1. What does a "standard" working week look like? (off/on duty times etc)
2. How does a normal roster pattern look like? (still 2 weeks on 1 off?)
3. Is there still any difference between W.A. Luxembourg and Atlantic Airlines? Since they are the same company now. (West Atlantic)
4. How many hours could you expect to log every month/year?
5. What is the average take home pay for a starting F.O. in euro's?
6. Is your medical, LOL, pension (partly)paid for?
7. Do they provide accommodation and meals when away from base?
8. Any other relevant information that job-seekers should know?
(And yes, I did find the information on pilotjobsnetwork.com)

Maybe employees of the HR department of West Atlantic, West Air of Atlantic Airlines? Always best to have this kind of information from first hand..

I can really only give you some information relevant to Atlantic
A week can vary substatially exepect short sectors avg proberly 3 a night long duty close to max fdp evey duty.. With a stopover at the end
Roster as i said can be very up and down expect frequent plot changes with min days off per month there is no roster pattern and sometimes a new roster wont be issued until a few days before the current one finishes
As far as i m aware there are some significant differences between wal and aa i cant really comment too much as not totally sure
Atlantic airlines in a year expect 300-400 hours ( most likely the lower end of that figure)
Again pay is for atlantic and in euros would be around 2200-2500 euro
Medical is not payed for and no LOL scheme as far as i am aware maybe different for wal...atlantic has a pension scheme but i am not familier with it
Hotels are provided while downroute And breakfast is included
I must stress this information is really only for Atlantic airlines and some things in wal will differ for eg the pay is significantly higher
Hope this helps
Ps excuse grammer written on phone!

@ Livesinafield: Thank you for the useful information.
@ I'm Off: You are absolutely right. I contacted them and expect an answer somewhere next week. When I hear something I will post it here (unless specifically requested by the company not to do so)
Do you have anything more to add? The more sources the information comes from, the more useful it gets for candidates to use in their decision making.
Sometimes employees can give more detailed information on how things are "in the field".
