Thumbs down New CEO same crap

Looks like Mike McT has taken Ill mysteriously and new CEO has taken his spot. Now starting the same way as Fat bastar R. Howe with meeting all pilots in 1 on 1 meetings, we all know how that goes. How many will accept the latest pay cuts...LOL, will they never learn. Get out if you are there or don't even think of applying. As you have all been told before, when you do leave your last salary will never be paid, and you have no insurance. Another 9 foreigners killed in Kabul in the last couple of days. You travel in a 73 toyota Hi Ace van, skin not thicker than a banana peel. Stay the hell away if you value your life, these guys will end themselves and hope you are not there when the idiots do impact the mountains. P.S. Now banned from most middle east states as well as Europe. Good future....NOT

Think that Afghan Civil Aviation Authority I mean MoTCA (Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation) has heard you. PM me if you have any concerns with regard to Safi and specially safety related issues.

DO NOT GO THERE!

I told myself I would never post on this site, but on this subject, I will make an exception.

If you value your life, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go anywhere near Afghanistan if you have a choice, even if you are desperate/unemployed/destitute/looking for adventure or just a bit crazy!

I know from bitter experience, as it almost killed me!

Not very nice eh... While you can certainly give advice, it's up to the individual to take or not to take it. What their personal circumstances are and why one would considere taking a job with a company with reputation such as Safi has does certainly not make the person stupid or an idiot.

Tommy Tilt is on the money and has an attitude similar to my own.

If a company stitches you up, knowingly....surely, sharing of the FACTS with every establishment that deals with the company, is the ONLY responsible thing to do...or laissez faire will rule our profession.

Good luck!

Here is a King Air flying to Afghanistan /Iraq gig for 20K

• King Air 200, King Air 300/350, DHC-6, DHC-7 experience preferred
• Active Security Clearance strongly preferred
• Prior OCONUS experience strongly preferred
• PIC of Multi-Engine Turbo Prop experience strongly preferred
• Rotations, approximately 60-90 days on, 30-60 days off
• Excellent Compensation ballpark of $20K/month
• Initial and Recurrent training provided

What kind of compensation for 320 guys should be expected?

320 dude

You seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that a 320 pilot is higher up the food chain than a capable qualified and competent kingair pilot.

The laws of supply and demand would suggest otherwise, probably because you can fly a 320 around the world after a quick 250hrs.

320DUDE

A320 you will fly to Kabul, maybe Kandahar or Mazari. Kingair you can end up going to Faizabad and all other domestic crap. Ever been to Faizabad and still think 20k to too much comparing to A320 drivers?

"Security clearance" and "OCONUS" = Gov't ISR job, not a commercial KingAir job.

Probably the bottom of your Last Will & Testament would be a good start.

Given StopStart's previous line of work, I doubt he's blind to the risk.

And yeah.... Where do I sign?

if they provide initial type training for the King Air. I'm ready. I already live in this area and I love this plane. Where do I sign as well?

All Afghan registered airlines are banned from Europe. This is due to the fact that MOTCA (Afghan CAA) are an absolute joke, and as such are not capable of policing Afghan airlines.

Av,

You need to be American for the King Air job, and in reality ex military.

I hear SAFI are only taking guys with 2000 PIC on type... Where are they finding these guys? Such little pay and the location.... Does make me wonder.
