Feedback Please!!
So I've heard the horror stories about pilot coming from the US and interviewing in foreign countries only to get rejected because the country/company does not recognized the hours logged in their book. As some of you may know from previous threads, I am going through the conversion process to apply for a position in Brazil. I've heard from others here that guys have interviewed with companies like TAM and have been rejected because of an american logbook. Someone told me that the FSDO in Miramar, Florida will issue a letter validating your flight time. Does anyone out there know this to be true?? I want to get some feedback before I call them and look like an a**! Anyway, if anyone knows a different way (besides getting a letter from all previous employers/flightshools) of validating hours that is acceptable overseas, LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!! Thanks.
