BA aircraft orders

Hello there folks,

I am writing an essay and I want to know when the A380's and 787's will arrive at BA, also anyone got any links to any articles about it. I have found one which says the a380 is due in 2012 but I thought that is too soon and sounds unrealistic.

Cheers people,

(sorry if i put this post in the wrong place - i didn't know where to put it)

Go to the BA investor relations site and look for the latest investor presentation, there is a graph of planned fleet growth.

I think these figures are pretty reliable:

Boeing 787-8
6 firm orders starting in the second half of 2012.

Boeing 787-9
18 firm orders starting in the second half of 2014.

Options for a further 18 Boeing 787 of either or both variants, to be decided closer to the time.

Airbus A380
12 firm orders starting sometime in the first half of 2013, plus options for a further 7 A380.

Boeing 777-300ER
6 firm orders, with 2 already having arrived in the UK since October (?). One already in service witha second being fitted with its cabin interior in Cardiff. Options for 4 more.

Boeing 777-200ER
BA took delivery of 4 new aircraft within the last year or so, to add to the 42 777-200 that were already in the fleet.

Airbus (shorthaul variants)
I think there continues to be a steady trickle of new A320 types, replacing much older airframes, but I don't know the details.

I'm sure the Mods will find somewhere to place your thread, as this isn't really the spot for it.

Kingofkabul,

I had a look at the last presentation:

http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External...xUeXBlPTM=&t=1

It doesnt mention anything about the a380 or 787,

Or am i being stupid?

Cheers for the reply Abbey Road.

Regards,

Also, in due time, throw in a more Embraer's to grow their LCY ops and maybe even some to replace the LGW 735's. Devil's advocate...
