Garuda employing crew for B737
Noticed the ad in this weeks flight for Captain and F/O positions with Garuda. Does anyboby know any factual information regarding working conditions in Indonesia.

The working conditions are very good.
You have there: very nice, educated people ; beautiful country, good food...
And it is cheap...Though for this contract I have no idea of Terms and Conditions...I wish they soon recruit on my aircraft type!

Its funny they are hiring expats because it was the union that stopped expats flying for Garuda as its the Indonesian flag carrier.
I was with an Indonesian captain today who said he doesn't see it working and its possibly just a PR thing for parc aviation.

Part of the deal between Indonesia and EU for ban of Indonesian airlines in EU sky to be lifted, was improvement in cultural (read CRM) standard and implementation of Western educated crew memebers in Indonesia.
