FlyingSerb,
About two weeks after submitting the application they contacted me looking for a copy of my university degree then another two weeks past before they invited me to the DLR.
Good luck to you.

Eyesight limitation?
Is it legal for all the Lufthansa companies to have an eyesight limitation of +/- 3 dioptres?
It seems a bit like SAS setting an age limit for trainee positions to 26 years old. They were told to remove it, as it was age discrimination.
The eyesight limit is also discrimination as the eyesight standards for the required medical is very different!

I guess it is nothing special to have more strict Class 1 requirements: Finnair has done this for ages as far as I know (max +-3 diopters non-corrected eyesight etc.). They also say IFALPA supports these stricter requirements.
If you ask me, it is silly to require anything more than JAA Class 1.

karioca,
If you get called to attend the DLR with LH IT they send you info. to download, to prepare for the test including a 5 page PDF on the MIC. They don't however, provide a CBT for the MIC as they do with the other subjects in the test. Apparently you can get software to practice it from Skytest at a price. They, and others (who have done the test) warn against practicing for this test, as you may become too accustomed to the joystick you practice with and therefore struggle with the one at the DLR on the day.

Hi Muvo85!
Yes I read MIC pdf info just wanted to know more about it, about maneuvers, if you have a chrono for clb des checks...I would like to know from those who already have it how it looks, what kind of maneuvers and calculations you have to do.
Thanks for the reply!

Shouldn't be a problem for any pilot! Very basic instruments and handling is easy. Set your parameters and the "aircraft" will do what it should. You get a chronometer to time all your turns and climbs/desends. Hardest thing is probably to remember the flight pattern...
