Farnair Recruitment

Farnair Switzerland currently recruiting experienced ATR drivers.
Any news especially terms and conditions, salary etc would be much appreciated.
They say minimum duty 22 days/month with 8 days off, however NOT consecutive!,and you base yourself at Koln.
Particulary interested to hear from current/ex employees.
Many thanks

So far been told that you have to pay for trip and accomodation in Bazel to sit interviews and sim checks, no idea on pay until stage 2 of the process.
Sorry I know it's not much help right now.

Well, I will avoid saying anything that might be considered as libellous and merely state that I very much doubt that you will find anyone who has worked for the company before will be applying for these vacancies.

Well, the salary is rather bad. If it's still the same you are looking at 5500 CHF basic with some per diem on top of that. But then again they are looking for every possibility/trick not to pay what they suposed to so you are fighting with them month after month...
You are flying mainly night for UPS and other companies and so you are not spending a lot of time at home, as they say about 8 days or so...

The people to fly with are great, the maintenance is sh... The company is controled by one single person The CEO and the postholders do more or less exactly what he wants...

I hope that helps..

I spent 2 years with them and look back at that period as extremely exhausting.

5 nights in a row from 2100 untill 0700 in the morning, You spend your nights waiting in a small dirty room with 20 other guys trying to pass time.

Bad salary

terrible rosters.

They will sqeeze you like a lemon untill you cannot take it anymore.

They operate on the good grace of the peolple who desperatly need a job and will accept anything.

I would only go there if you really cannot find anything else.

I do not like being negative but i cannot say much positive about this outfit except for the fact that they will give you some hours if that is what you need.

Hope all the guys still there will disagree with me and tell me things have improved...

Good luck.
