Easyjet

Hello,

I have passed the screening for Easy in August 2007, almost two years in the holding pool (FO with 3000 hrs tt/2200 hrs on A320/321).
So, what happen now? This week I have received an e-mail by the recruitemnet department of Easy and they told me that there might be an chance to work for the company (temporary or permanent I dunno) within the next few months, because they are very busy and have launched a lot of new routes during the summer period in Switzerland. They asked me if I would rellocate to Switzerland because my first choice was Geneva and Basle when they asked me in the interview in Luton two years ago. They told me that they will contact me soon again.

This could be a chance for some of us waiting already for such a long time, we will see that. I wanted to share that information with you guys.

Good luck to you all

happy landings

Good luck with your decision, when I joined a few years ago EZY was one of the better companies but they seem to want "disposable" crew now.
It is unfair if they expect you to give up your current job for a six month contract ( unless you are out of work)
Easy swiss are a seniority based company with some different terms from the rest of us.
It is nice that they are looking at SFO recruitment as well as just cadets whom they can get cheaper and get rid off after 6 months. Also, if the optimizer does not work as well as expected, there may be a need for more crew.

FatFlyer,

I don't know if Easy Switzerland is offering 6 month contracts, for the summer. Fact is, that they offer permanent contracts in automn.
By the way, the terms and conditions for a FO (below 3000h) are not that bad.

Cheers

Hello,

Just a question about the TRSS, do you pay the TR and then the company give you back the money over 5 years? or does the company pay the TR for you and you are on a lower payscale for 5 years?

Great news, lets hope contracts will be permanent.. good luck.

Spoke to Easy recruitment the other day re. Swiss contracts, unfortunately they couldn't really expand on the email we have received. So still not sure whether it's a six month deal or already rated pilots on the bus or what. If it's a six month deal on TRSS then not sure about that, bit tricky not having more info. If any of you guys find out any inside info, please do tell. Cheers.

TRSS - you pay for the rating up front (or with a bank loan which they help you arange)

They pay you back over 5 years(plus a bit to cover interest) if you leave, you are left with the loan.

Your salary is reduced by the amount they pay you back (about £5000 a year) from that of a non TRSS F/O.

In reality, you are paying for the rating over 5 years after which you go onto normal salary.( the amount is actually the same, but you have paid off the loan by then)

sounds confusing I know
