Scheduling Agreement

Scheduling Agreement

I am assisting the pilot union at my company establish a “scheduling agreement”.

We are a short haul operator.

Can anybody please advise on the most important issues to cover, eg days off, Max FDP, minimum rest etc etc)?

If you could give examples of the “numbers” at your company (no names) that would be great!

Thanking you all in advance

No duties rostered longer than 16 hours where possible.
No more than 2 consecutive night flights rostered.
Day off working scheme – if you work on a day off you receive an agreed payment.
Ability to nominate a day off that you’re prepared to work for extra payment. Crewing to advise you they require you to work by midday the day before the day off if they have no duty it reverts to a day off again.
Duty protection scheme -once roster is issued you can nominate duties to protect so that crewing cannot change it by +/- a set time eg 2 hours, therefore giving you some roster stability, to have a social life.
Day off must include 2 local nights, must be off duty by a set time eg 2000L night before the day off, first duty back after day off must be after a set time eg 0800L.
