Which airline/corporate are recruiting now Jan 2009
Hi Guys,
First of all, all my very best wishes to all of you. May 2009 be a fantastic year for all of us, and of course the most important : "Fly safe"
So my question is, I just ended up a contract as a 320 Captain, I am 40, quite experienced, with 340 and 320 Current. For family reasons I was planning to stay in Europe, but for financial reason I may have to change my mind.
I am looking for a job, a flying one or a non flying one SFI but I am urgently in need for it.
Could anyone help.
Thanks a million in advance
All the best

Aer lingus application closed 5th of January. I was surprised that there was not a bigger thread on here about it. The application window was only open for about 2/3 weeks I suppose and was over Xmas so maybe some people were not aware of it.
Anyway its not looking too good for wannabes as I have been told by a friend who works there that most of the positions were filled nearly immediately by experienced guys. So most that applied including myself are fighting it out for only a couple of positions. They did state that preference was going to be given to those with hours on the A320 so at a disadvantage from the outset.

EI positions advertised were for the right seat....Watch this space for left seat,,, Who do you think will fill those. Unless they get enough internal people wanting to move for the left seat....which they most likely will not then expect a few hires for the left seat.
4 aircraft in april and another 4 towards year end will require more hiring towards summer end. Other contracts possible maybe the usuals air malta/atlas blue/tunisair/wizzair/onur/freebird and some of the italians.

Silver Spur,
I was trawling flight global the other day and remembered seeing a contract job on the A300 in Europe, I'd imagine that you could negociate pretty good t&c's, here's the link:
A300-600 First Officers New contract! - 200308156 - Flight Jobs
while we're on the topic, anyone know of anything on the BAe146 or EMB145 in the UK (or Europe if commutable)
cheers guys
