EVAAIR T&Cs ? Any help here?
Just Waded through the EVAAIR "on-line" application..... fingers are tired, but complete.
Before I blow the postage to send the TOMES of info, could any ex-pats out there on the B744 and B777 fleets pass on any current info on T&Cs? Couldn't find anything on remuneration
Basic monthly pay by type?
Rosters? Days off?
Local tax liability?
ANY other info..?
Last thread was back around 2004
Am only assuming the pay does not quite match KAL.

Flying hours depend on fleet, but each month 8 or 9 days off in a row.
Other info: Training bondage of US$60.000 for type rating for four years.
Company will provide accomodation for you, which consists of a small bedroom on the EVA-premises; it's dirty and has little privacy, but there is a gym, laundry, internet and housekeeping all for free.
Unlimited ZED-tix, and you will get health insurance. While working for EVA, you have a kind of LOL-insurance, but it's a bit tricky.
No chance for an upgrading ever, but you will get a type rating even with very little previous experience.
Some people actually enjoy it there.

Can't help with specific T & Cs but I have a few friends who work or have worked for them. Most stories have been unflattering enough to prevent me from applying. Conditions might be different if you are going as DEC.

Astronaute, are you by any chance this guy in the EVA Air-forum called "poopoo", referred to as the ?
If you are: It's not that I wouldn't agree with you; I am also ex-EVA, left that place because I hated it, and now live in the desert. Although I'm pretty sure that we are not in the same company.
But why exactly is it that since more than two years you keep on writing that same stupid sentence every week into the forum, to everybody's amusement?
Go on and do so, if you like. I just don't understand why.

What Eva Air Forum? where? did I miss something?
Check out the forum, there's a bright guy who keeps on posting the same sentence over and over, slightly rephrasing it every time.
He's been calling everybody at EVA Air a "loser"; so often, that people actually started finding him cute.
I wonder who is the real loser, if someone has nothing else to do on his off-days.
