Re-call From Interview
Hi Guys,
I had an interview lately with a charter airline, they mentioned they would get back to me within 2/3weeks.
It's been 15days now since the interview.
I think myself that if it were good news I would have heard from them by now and I now have the feeling that they aren't going to contact me at all.
Anyway, I'm sure some of you guys have some advise for me ; )
Do I forget about them?
OR
Do I keep waiting, at least until the 3weeks are up?
Tara.

For goodness sake Tara!
If they said 2-3 weeks, and you are concerned that they haven't notified you one day after the start of that 7 day window, you need to find a distraction.
The fact that you had an interview means that you will receive a reply from them. If after another week or so you have still heard nothing, then by all means telephone (whoever interviewed you's) secretary and politely ask if anything has been sent out to you? You can always say you have been having difficulty with your post, and wanted to check that you hadn't missed anything. However if you start chasing them up now, when they are only at the earliest point of their planned decision and response period, it might appear a little annoying.
Although it not always the case, companies do often telephone successful candidates with the good news, prior to sending a letter of confirmation, however that is not a prerequisite and a letter would be sent in any event.

hey tara - its natural to be worried - I'm paranoid after 2 or 3 days
I'd leave it till the 3 weeks are up personally. Although if they were going to offer you a position it wouldn't affect your chances of employment to call I guess (although their is one certain Irish LCC who I'd hesitate to call...)
Anyway good luck!
And keep us informed!

Thanks alot guys, I feel a little better now. However, I saw on ppjn yesterday that the airline (with whom I interviewed with) had taken on all it's pilots for now and will be accepting more applications in early 09'. So I guess I've either, been one of the lucky ones and they are gonna call me nxt week or, I haven't! Then again who fully trusts ppjn?? It is a great site and from what I have seen in the past it's been pretty accurate.
But who knows......
Anyway, thanks again guys ; )
