BA Recruitment

Thanks for that. However did it mention anything about the possible plans for pilots in the hold pool or anyone awaiting a sim check?

Cheers - there are a few of us out here!

Frozen vs Suspended

Anyone know what the difference between BA's 'frozen' and 'suspended' recruitment is....?

No info on that unfortunately. I would imagine "until further notice" covers it.

All command courses have also been suspended while they re-jig the fleet plan. There may some forced moves between types so they will need to sort that out first before they can take on anyone else. Current projections apparently show that the current headcount is sufficient for the program up to and including next summer. I would suggest you watch this space though as the plan is likely to be a bit flexible.

From what we hear, those who are in the hold pool will be kept there for the time being. Presumably, there will come a point when they will be told whether they are getting a course or whether they need to reapply.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

People have been undergoing conversion courses and have been met at the end of a sim detail with the bad news that they are back on their previous type.
