You have to pay them $100,000 to work for them.

Did they tell you to bring a certified check?

There is another thread, referencing a pay for Type Rating, and Line flying time. I don't think it applies to Type rated, experienced crews. Obviously supplementing the company income with pay for training wannabes.

They want me to get my license sorted ASAP, so they can get me to work. In the present climate, a company that seems prepared to pay decent rates for experienced crew, and do it now is probably OK.

Other than moaning about pay for training from wannabes, I can't find to much on Jordan Aviation, Good, bad or ugly.

regards

M

Have you looked at days off/holiday entitlement?

Yeah I've seen the entitlement. While not up to UK standards, about par for most of the overseas contracts. China, Korea, and Japan, have better contracts, but it's gonna take months to sort those jobs out. This one is now, and it pays, and its not in Lagos.

Cheers

Boots,

fair point, but I would politely point out that you best make very sure that it does pay. This is not a point specific to Jordan Aviation, but there is a certain type of airline that is all over you when they are short of people, but who can develop severe amnesia over pay when things aren't as tight as they were, or when you turn into the uppity pilot quoting MELs or allowed weights or FTLs or developing the squits because you're being asked to fly somewhere really scruffy, or asking for a training allowance because you're a one man cockpit. I presume you have done a search on prune for previous threads on this subject?

Yeah

I'm well aware of that. I've at least got a couple of assessments coming up with carriers of known reputation, so I might just hold off for a while. The money hasn't run out yet.

HFS

I'm 737. Since they're so desperate, T's and C's may be negotiable. Now if it ain't in writing, nor in the bank, then who knows. As Plane dumb said, some spots they're flying into are, to say the least, sporting.

Cheers

Stay Safe

Converting your JAR license into the Jordanian equivalent shouldn't be a problem, as long as you have all your papers/logbooks in order. Give them a call to have your questions sorted out with the main source (Telephone : +962 (06) 4892282 ).

I got from them offer either but it is totally different to the one advertised on the web. I mean climb to 350.... As I saw they pulled all the adverts from Climbto350.com
If you have the time... what were the differences between the T&Cs on 350 versus their actual offering?

jordanavi

well one thing is for sure. theyre hiring like crazy.

theyve sent visas to like 3 of my other colleagues too. the offer was okay, but you have to keep in mind that Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, and Doha is far more safer than in Jordan.

Besides it looks like they really want to get people asap. specially Haj is coming up.

if ever interested, contact Hari instead of the admin email.

here is the website: http://www.jordanaviation.jo/

hope this helps.
