New Low Cost "FlyDubai"
Hi all
After having heard about the start of FlyDubai in Mid 2009, is there anyone here who already has some information about salary, roster, ongoing selections? Similiar conditions as Emirates concerning housing, contracts.. etc??
Couldnīt find a website yet (maybe itīs too early)
Thanks,
n1limit

No web site, but plenty of information if you Google !!
50 B.737-800's or 900's according to Boeing press release.
Low cost airline low cost fuel, what more can be asked for in a recession.
Time to brush off my NG rating (maybe)

As I said, there is a website. Yes, it's not crammed with detail - I wouldn't expect it to be at this stage - but it's there.

I'm pretty sure FlyDubai don't have details of FlyDubai T&Cs yet! The government of Dubai only announced it a few months ago, completely to the surprise of the people who are going to set it up and run it!!
That being said, I would imagine it would be broadly along the lines of Air Arabia, Emirates and Etihad, which all have roughly similar conditions.
One word of warning- Accommodation in Dubai is getting to ridiculous prices. Any contract which does not include accommodation (and I DON'T mean an allowance) could quickly become untenable.
Dubai is not a bad place to live for many people, but only if you can afford it!!

I`ve just seen that an applicant for FlyDubai will be lead to the site:
"emiratesgroupcareers". In what relation is Emirates with FlyDubai? Is FlyDubai based on Emirates`idea?

Emirates is owned by the Government of Dubai (Which is to say the Al Maktoum family who are the rulers). They announced that a low-cost would be set up, also under their ownership. Emirates is going to "Support" the launch of FlyDubai (which I take to mean supply a lot of the technical know-how) and they will have the same chairman and owners, but eventually be seperate businesses.
At the moment FlyDubai is an office in our HQ!! I would imagine that, initially, recruitment would be a function EK would supply on belhalf of the new operation.
Watch this space!!
