Way to apply to Ryanair being a Jar 25 experienced FO???
Hello everybody,
I actually have 2000 hrs TT of which more than 1500 are on ATR 42/72. I would like to know which way should I use to apply for Ryanair? Should I go to a Cadet Open Day or instead of that apply directly via CAE/SAS?

Aircowboy I have been in recent communication with them after passing the assessment late last year.
My hours are similar to yours, I currently fly the Dash 8.
The answer I recieved was that we are no longer taking on JAR25 rated First Officers. We are only hiring
B737 rated First Officers and Captains and Cadets.
So much for the assessment been valid for a year

Same answer I got guys...more than 2500 TT myself, most of it on medium and heavy jets...Seems like a couple of years ago I had not enough hours to be one of their cadet (I tried a lot, but the queue was long), now I have too many! LOL

If you don't have a B737 type rating, then yes, the only way to apply is through the cadet scheme.
Ryanair have a huge cadet scheme in operation with as many as 4000 pilots currently waiting to part with 30000 euros for a 737 type rating. Therefore unless you're willing to self fund your type rating, then I'm afraid Ryanair won't touch you.
Going along to one of their open days might give you a bit more information than that available on this forum.
