Hello there,

Who of you contract pilots, who worked in icao countries other than europe,

have tried (hopefully successful) to have the foreign type-rating transferred to

caa or your home countries atpl-license ?

Whats the odyssey behind this one?

I brought my Malaysian 737 type rating back to the UK.

Let me know the details of the rating.

What A/C Type?
Is it a P1 or P2 rating?
If it is P2, are you tested to the same level as a P1?
What country is it coming from?

Hi touchn..

Actually, i want to check out my options before getting myself into
a situation i might someday regret.
It would be a P2 rating (330,777,767-qatar,uae,japan), but i do not know the specifics. That would be a good question to ask on the Middle East and Far East threads.

Maybe you could give your opinion on all possibilities if you happen to know.

But generally speaking it is possible, correct? Will dive into the link later
as i am on the run....
