TCX to allow Canadian captains over ?
A little birdy has told me that the BALPA CC have rolled over and are now going to allow Skyservice Captains over next summer despite an emphatic vote to strike some time back if that were the case.
Any truth in the rumour or is it bull ?

Yes, I believe they came to an agreement without involving the BALPA members.
As it stands:
They will allow a maximum of 15 Canadian captains per season,
ONLY
If there are no redundancies/demotions in that year, and that every UK command offered is permanent position.
It seems that the MYT guys have improved their terms (as they are a bit more accustomed to temp commands) but tcx pilots have again had to give up something for nothing...or so it seems.

Yup it's true. The CC negotiated this with no consultation with its membership.
The boot has again been put into the ex-TCX First Officers. Still, it is a take-over and not a merger so no-one should really be surprised.

It's a two way street for current Captains within both companies you mean!
For the poor old ( OLD, being the operative word) SFO'S out there, awaiting their turn for command, from both sides of the pond, its more like a DEAD END street.
This is the death of Thomas Cook as a career airline. Thanks My Travel.
