Why you no longer want to work at NCA...

When I joined NCA a few years back it was said that NCA is a job for life. Over the xmas holidays they let 3 pilots go. One of them was one of the best pilots I have had the pleasure of flying with....

The deterioration of the contract with Parc/Hacs/NCA/NYC is getting worse by the day. The job was secretly once of the best in the world is no longer. I will not be renewing my contract when it is completed in a few years...

If you are thinking of NCA.......I recommend ya take a real good look at it before you sign you life away.........you will never be anything more than a contractor and that is it.....

It's currently 5 Captains contracts terminated - all Classic captains.

They have also just decided to upgrade 6 Japanese FO's who joined the company after ALL the current foreign FO's. No info or explanation of this was forthcoming from NCA or the contractor - they simply put these guys on assessment sectors in preparation for their upgrade course.

I'm told that there are also plans to introduce a cruise captain position.

Not a great place to go if you have any ambition to be a captain in the future.

Hey Pitotman - I'm now working with an ex-NCA chap by the name of Tom, a Seth Efrican. We work for a company in Aus and he's pretty happy about that.

Tommy Boi!

18 Wheeler,

Tango Bravo is a gentleman and I am a better man for having worked with him. When I saw NCA let his talents go without trying to do him justice the writing was on the wall for me. I just can't wait to get down to aus once he has that P51 all done up! Perhaps then I'll buy yeah a beer!

For me my days are numbered at NCA as management/Parc are doing nothing but pissing us off more and more every day! The racist BS that is going on mirrors a Dynasty airline in Taiwan that I once had the displeasure of working for.............now the question is how much is NCA going to hurt before the boyz leave..........

Give Tommy my best! Tell him thanks for his email a few months back and I have chosen LIFESTYLE over money and his two cents worth were a big contributing factor!

All the best mate!

Absolutely!
He's a pleasure to work with, and I have the great fortune to be doing so for the next few months. I'll pass on your hello's.

Hang on just a minute please.

You guys doin' a whinge about being booted out of a job when you are the foreigner. Welcome to the real world. That's the way it works and always has. When you are an expat and a local can do your job, you're out, pure and simple.

Whoever deluded you there are "jobs for life"? Those days are well gone.

Some people seem to forget that when you are a foreigner, you are a guest in that country like it or not. Therefore no real rights or recourse to "justice".

The point is John that it was NOT that way at NCA - but it seems that it is going that way very quickly.

NCA is currently recruiting foreign FO's for the -400, so this is a heads up for anyone who is thinking if joining.

Also I would not define NCA crew as expats. They man bases where I doubt that the Japanese would want to be.
