Wizzair Ts & Cs
Hi,
I have an interview coming up as DEC in January. Have read the threads here, but can anybody comment on the general culture in the company?
I would be leaving a fairly comfortable job on the F100 to move and the attraction for me is: a. 6/4 roster and b. A320 rating.
Re, the rating, I have not seen anywhere whether Wizz pick up the bill for the rating. If this is not the case then it would be a non-starter for me. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks
KT

The company is looking for an A330/A340,what I have heard they thought about holiday routes in summer ,and wet lease in winter time.
Some time ago they made inquiries to companies who sold lrange aircrafts.
But it is just a plan, but within the next years it is very likeable.

Where are the current pilot domiciles? Do Wizz offer a UK domicile? If not, would most UK pilots commute back to the UK or live down route (i.e., in Hungary, Poland and now Transylvania/Cluj)? Where could a newhire FO from the UK realistically bid to live?
Cheers

Roughly in order of your questions....
No UK domicile.
Most guys (French, English, Spanish, Greek, Croat etc) commute. However, some have rented in their base area.
At the mo, most new hires are for Poland or the base in Romania.

Knee Trembler.... The A320 TR is a bonding agreement for DEC's. Over 5 years I believe, not sure if it is an amortise bond or not.
You are aware of the salary? Very low by western standards. Commuting on what is on offer would be a non starter.
