Hi,

does anyone know if PrivatAir is hiring DEC's on its Airbus fleet right now?
On their homepage you can actually apply for a Captain position, but I have never heared of any DEC's?!

Thx

Grrr

5 years is a long time in aviation, but they took DEC on BBJ back then, and I seem to recall ads in Flight since then. Not much point in them having position shown on website if it doesn't exist ?

PTI are hiring all the times, they require reasonable experience, i.e. TR on one of their types. You have to start as FO, but you get promoted quite fast, depends on the rate of expansion.

There is a rumour going on that they will stop ACJ ops and also the Airbus shuttle.

Heared that before. LH probably operates DUS-EWR with their own equipment.
Hope they will find new business for their 319's!!

Facts:
The Contract for the Airbus Shuttle is not renewed, 2 A319 going back to lessor end of Q1 2008.
PTI only recruits FOs, except in the case of rapid expansion and lack of suitable FOs for upgrade. This is not the case for the moment, certainly with 2 airplanes leaving the fleet.
LH has no plans to operate long haul full business class flights themselves, at least for a couple of years. The DUS-EWR and ORD will switch to LH A340 next year but the PTI A319 will go somewhere else.

It was announced together with the intention to drop DUS-NY. It might be another Canadian place. It was in "Flight International". Do you have other information?

There might not be a lot of information around because everything is under LH callsign.
