Asiana

I am going for a Captain 767 interview in December. What am I getting myself into? I would appreciate any comments/advice about this company. Also, I would like to finish my career flying 747's. No problem paying for the type, but how do I get the 500 hours? Rumor has it that Asiana will sometimes do upgrades. Thanks for any response.

Where would they base you?

First of all, good luck with your interview.

I presently work in the states, but am thinking of doing the same as you are, so I just wanted to ask if this position was through a crew leasing agency, or direct with Asiana.

Where would they base you? I assume in Seoul.

PM me if you prefer.

Thanks

Questions

The only base I am aware of for the 767 guys is Seoul. If you are interested in this, try Parc Aviation. If you are interested in getting your own type, KAL might pick you up. I did not do this because they thought I was too old.

Suggest to moderator to move to South Asia and FarEast

Got the type and hours, but still waiting to see how things happen here in the states, i.e., am senior, still relatively young, and really just wanting to cover my bases. Currently left seat on 777.

Let us know how the interview and perhaps hiring process proceeds.

Anyways, this thread might get more hits on the South Asia and Far East section.

Thanks
