Command bonds at Loganair?

Hi

Could anyone tell me if an FO moving to the LHS at Loganair is subject to an additional bond for command training. Is the command course completed in a sim or on line flights?

Cheers

SK

Management did think hard and long last year about bonding newly promoted RHS guys but decided very wisely not too run with this idea.
Having said that, you can understand their frustration of a newly promoted captain handing in his notice within days of going LHS.
If they did bond it might have the reverse effect, with drivers going even earlier than planned. The double edged sword works both ways.
On balance, something which management have to live with, when no chance of jet.....unless the demise of the franchise results in a new ball game of course ??!!

This is an idea that Logan did indeed float but very quickly (and wisely) rejected. It is a ludicrous idea, and they very quickly realised that people would leave before they committed to a bond for something that they have earned by working hard and staying with the company whilst their colleagues moved on.
Don't sign a command bond wherever you are, especially in the TP world! The market is so buoyant at the moment that if companies are trying to force their potential Captains to stay they should just move on to somewhere they are treated like a person, not an object. I would have refused to sign one at LOG outright.
