SkyEurope Krk

Has anyone heard the rumour that SkyEurope are pulling out of their KRK base?

It's a pity if they are, it used to be a great city and airport to work from

Closing end of October along with BUD. Consolidating all ops to VIE ($$$), BTS and PRG. The reason being KRK made lots of money for 6 weeks a year and that ended-up carrying the operation for the Winter months where the yield wasn't good enough combined with the diversions to KTW due to lack of Cat 3.

VIE is making good money it seems - Sky have done well morphing where the money is but sadly they are a shadow of their former selves in Poland. Central Wings are taking on some of the routes and I believe establishing a base.
