FlyBaboo?

Flybaboo is looking for Captains. Can anybody tell me :
-what do they pay captains for basic salary ? gross/nett tax in france
-do they have dutypay as well?
-Medical insurance?
-What are the rosters like?
-What about the company, nice bunch?
-Is true they are going to open a base in France?

I appreciate all the help.
Thanks!

Hello Cupoftea,

-Actually the pay is 4700 euros for captains with at least 1500 hours PIC.
Should be increased shortly.
- Dutypay is a flat pay of 300 euros.
- No Medical insurance provided.
- Rosters depend on seasons, usually 85 to 100 hrs/month.
sometimes 8 days ON then 2 days OFF, minimum of 8 days off per month, max duty time per day 14 hrs.
- Base in France, only rumors...

Regards,

Winglet

Atmosphere is generally good in the cockpit, lots of discussions about transitions on the new E190 as Flybaboo will not respect any seniority.

Growth: 3 E190 to join in 2008, April, May and June. 1 Dash8-400 arrives in october and the 2 Dash8-300 are phased out by the end of sept07.

Fleet in 2008 should consist of : 2 Dash8-400 and 3 E190.

First year salary should be raised to 5700 euros (1st of jan) if you have a minimum of 5000 hours multicrew including 1500 hrs pic time when joining.

Flybaboo has lost already 4 commanders this year, due to loss of career perspective.

To join on E190 you need a min of 5000 hours multicrew with some JET time on EFIS A/C.

Regards,

Winglet

My two pennies: Try a real company...

Some nice people, but since they are in and waiting for the big jet to come, changed quite a bit their attitude...

Hi,

I use to fly for them, one advise:

Stay away if you care to have some private life.

Hi,
Can you go a bit into more details?
Is the rostering particulary unstable or is it a lack of consideration from managment or due to the small size of the airline?
More generally have you information or feelings about how the company could cope in the difficult environment?
Or any other usefull info, gossip or feeling.

Many thanks,
AG

Hi

One of Flybaboo's dash 8s was on the ramp in Ahmadabad India last Tuesday.

Just wondering do they have a contract in India or were they lost like we were, long way from Europe for a dash.

This is one Operator that seems to be very difficult to find out any of the facts, apart from the odd comment.
If anyone is in the 'know', please share any information you might have.

Hello all,

I was interested to join Flybaboo this year on the new Aicraft, but after having a long phone call with an ex-colleague working for them, I decided not to resign from my actual employer.

It seems that 4 captains and 1 copi left the company this year.

Advantages:
- If you live in GVA, you're home almost every night
- Nice atmosphere between crew members.

Disadvantages:
- Below market working conditions (Salary, off days)
- No Loss of licence
- 39 days vacation including 11 Swiss public holidays.
- No Seniority

His planning was quite heavy, around 90hrs per month, sometimes he flew up to 7 or 8 days in a row.

Apparently one concern is to plan a career as they have no will to apply a seniority model, some pilots who started with Flybaboo years ago have left because they were not given the chance to fly the new jet aircraft.

Well, after all I heard from different sources (some inside the company), I took my decision not to join.

Any of you got other informations, sources?

Keep the blue sky up!

Selection: its a joke, it lasted about 5 minutes for me, no real questions, they only expect you to agree with their terms...

Stay away from them!
