Question Cargolux

Can anyone tell me what life is like inside Cargolux i.e. Time to command or whether they take direct entry commands.

Pay pension hourly rate and any other benefits you get in every day operations?

What is the lifestyle in terms of rosters days of etc.

Be most interested to hear any comments good and bad alike?

Thanks in advance!

I just started this year - so limited experience:

People are treated very nice, pleasant company culture, type rating course extremely
good and professional.

Pay is good if married and children because then almost no taxes. Per diem 100 $US. Additional hourly pay for night and sunday flying.

Time to command 5000 h total, 1000 h on type, but future expansion unclear at the moment.

So far i can recommend it.

regards, curry

OK guys, here it is:

Fleet: only 747-400, 10 at the moment, no. 11 arriving soon, no. 12 in 2002

Roster: 28 day period, one block of 6 off days, one block of 3 off days plus "blank days" wich could be min. rest time, crew scheduling seems to be competent and cooperative

Pay: between 3600 and 4600 Euros gross for an F/O during the first three years depending on experience, plus additionals for night and sunday flying. Net salary depends a lot on personal taxes (single, married, children)and can be equal to gross. Generally taxes and insurances in LUX are not as bad as in other european countries.

per diem: about 100 US Dollars per day

regards, curry
