They usually only hire guys with a rating but no type experience through their CTC affiliate. Orange world is bus these days but the antique fleet is to be preserved for another 4 years

Yeah well Sephore, the hiring process is the same, Bus or Sub...
If invited you'll take part in the assessment process, now reduced to a full day (last I heard interview + tech exam => sim (if previous ok))

And for what it's worth, they are still asking new entries on what aircraft type they would like to go (nice touch
) which IMHO means the Subs gonna stay some more...

What exactly is a 737 "Driver"? If you have any chance in fostering a long, safe and rewarding career, you should re-adjust your approach.

Piloting the 737NG is one of the most challenging aircraft to operate to the highest of standards, in a demanding theatre of operations.

Driver is a tongue in cheek term for an airline pilot.
It is well used.

Not 'antique' fleet, but the 'Senior' fleet! And it's boeing pilot and airbus operator.... at least until next summer

737 NG (Not Great). Cramped tractoresque homage to aviation in the sixties. Disappointingly awkward to operate in even fair conditions. Redeeming features: Nil.
Airbus: none of the above.

Quit looking around the oxygen mask for a joystick and grab the yoke. That should solve the problem.

Hiring process fo people holding a 737 type rating...

When you are meeting the general requirements, you will be invited for the assessment.

When hired you will be placed on either 737 or 319.
If you have stated a preference, they will consider that preference.

If you're on the 737, they will convert you to the 319 in due time when it is needed.

Cheers
