Question Status of DHL Search for 757 Pilots - Much Interest?

Just curious about DHL's East Midlands operation and its search for 757 pilots:

1. Have they found enough pilots? Have they hired non-rated 757 pilots?

2. Where are the new pilots coming from (e.g., other airlines, military, commuters)? Any examples?

3. Anyone who is already there - what's it like (and have 757 ops started yet)? Meeting your expectations?

Flying a 757, even in a night-cargo operation, would be a dream!!!!

Any opinions from people in the know???????

Cheers

C'mon....

I find it hard to believe that NOBODY knows anything about the status of the DHL 757 operation!!!!

Any examples of sources of pilots? Military? Commuters? IT Charters?

The silence is deafening!!!!!!!!

Ok,
DHL's delivery has been put back for the third time.
All recruitment has reportedly been put on hold.
10 pilots have been working for DHL since June and are keeping current flying Britannia Aircraft.

Friend has a 757 full conversion commencing 8/10/01
I've told him that its night flying, for a overnight package company, roster might change depending on the nightly loads and FTL not sure. Good prospects though in these unstable times.

Pilots tend to forget these things about 6 months in....
