Question Lufthansa classic

As I'm considering to apply with LH (F/O), are there any LH pilots that can give me some info about the company. I'm especially interested in pay off course, but also time before command and roster.

Does 2000 hrs 737 get you in the left seat earlier or is it a strict seniority system?

Any info greatly appreciated, either here or

Exclamation

- strictly seniority
- expect +-10 yrs before left seat
- pay is being renegotiated
- current starting pay FO ca. DM 80000 before taxes, etc. (!!)
- net ca. DM 5500 p.m.
- union demand starting FO DM 135000
- labor dispute about pay should be finished around April, so stay tuned...
- work/duty times contract is being renegotiated too...Not enough personell currently to make the demands work.

Sorry to say but, comparable airlines pay much more and let you work less...
Mood on the flight deck is very good, good sop´s, good standardisation...
If you´re into the management/training thing, great opportunities in a large company that will last...

If you´re just into flying the plane, there are better opportunities currently.

By all means apply and do the assessment - even if it´s only for training...

Ach ja...Deutsch musst Du natürlich auch können.

Alles Gute!

Thanks, just what I was looking for.

One more question; I suppose you start on the 737 or A320, how long does it take before you can bid for longhaul positions?

Thanks again, BTW I'm indeed going to do the assessment anyway.

Currently 2 to 5 years, depending on type you want to fly (less for MD11F,742F more for 742,744,340).

But as you know...these numbers can change quickly.

Check out
