Question Korean Air, WHAT IS THE DEAL???

Ok so today there is an advert for flight crew at Korean via Parc I believe for jobs on all fleet. Catch; you pay for your rating I guess if not rated. Now I keep seeing adverts for Korean all over the place. Are they really that desperate??? I have heard that the EVA and China guys are running over there. I also heard that if you go to Seoul and you are a relief commander they will take you on as command. The contracters say NO to relief. I keep seeing the qualifications come down as well. I am so confused now. Does anyone have a straight answer? Thanks.

The best advice would be to contact the various contracting agencies about contract details and what not that are representing KAL. There is PARC, Rishworth, GAP, and IAC to name a few. The monthly pay has been decreasing over the past 2 years from about 10,000 US to 8,500 US + or - of course. Don't be a reliefer however. Cruise time is excluded from total time when applying with other carriers since you don't fly the aircraft.

As far as I am aware, Parc only recruit for Asiana and not KAL

Something about the Koreans not liking if you recruit for the two rivals?

I think Rishworth, IAC, CCL and a few others recruit for KAL...

So how come there is not much on the good, bad or ugly of Korean on PPRUNE?
Flight crew love their conditions, don't read english, don't have internet or too busy flying to comment?
Any info here?

KAL Hiring

I have been with Korean Air for 7 months now and so far it has been great. I know that they are looking for crews on all fleets ( A330, B744, B737, B777 and I think even the A300-600). When I hired on KAL required 500 hours command on type and I have heard but cannot confirm that they are considering hiring pilots with the type and no experience as long as you have like experience.
I am with CCL and am very happy with them. I do know many guys who are with GAP and they seem happy with them as well. If you are interested in CCL contact james Rye at:
