BA Flight Deck Recruitment

Hi all,
Anybody got any info regarding BA recruitment at the moment,do they run selections for DEP on an ongoing basis or is the hold full at the moment? 500hrs 737 time, would they consider this as inadequate ?

DEP recruitment re-opened

Gazman ... I believe 500hrs on a 737 or A320 is sufficient to apply. They are currently recruiting. Do a vacancy search at - http://www.britishairwaysjobs.com

There will be ongoing recruitment all year. Spoke to a friend of mine in recruitment the other day. Latest figures are approx 250-300 SH pilots over the next 12 months.

Heard they are short of airbus people.....I also have 737 rating - what's the likelihood of getting airbus LHR?

We (BA) are recruiting on an ongoing basis and the most likely fleets will be Airbus LHR or 737 LGW, but the plans change on a daily basis and I wouldn't rule out 757/767 or 777 courses being open again within the next 12 months. There is a fairly high requirement still and may be more depending on fleet plans changing, and retirement numbers.

The chances of recruitment onto A320 at LHR are very very high as new buses will be the first of the deliveries and the planned disposal of the old CFM s**t heaps has been postponed to effectively make it a fleet expansion.

Wouldn't that constitute illegal age discrimination?
